Late to the Party
We’ve been a bit busy here. Here’s the last week’s Halloween bonanza:

[/embed]The non-pumpkin patch field trip photos are from the San Diego Wild Animal Park, which wasn’t really the cool part. The Roots & Shoots leaders had arranged a tour of the Beckman Center, attached too, works with the San Diego Zoo/Wild Animal Park, does research and the like, and it was amazing. James, hates not very fond of zoos (because “al you get to do is look at animals) would have been quite happy if he could have been left alone to pipette all afternoon.
But, what we have been really busy with . . .

Kitty
Yes, James got his cat, well kitten, brought home by the allergic Darren, so my hands are clean of the dastardly deed. Arrow is quite in love and there is a distinct possibility that Kitty by die of cold due to dog slobber. Penny seemed only to realize tonight that we owned a cat (over a week later) and decided it was not worth her bother to get inside. If Kitty and Penny never meet face to face, it should be well. And since Penny is 19 and rarely graces us with her presence inside and Kitty has limited roaming access (i.e. he’s supposed to stay in James’ room, but is moved from room to room under supervision).
Next week, Mary Poppins and maybe, some rest?

Wow, what a week! A new kitty, eh? I hope the introductions were all peaceful.
Have a great weekend and take it easy.
That is one SPOOKY tree!! And I am still having a hard time believing that is a radish…are you sure it wasn’t a small potato PRETENDING to be a radish??!! Amazing!! But it looks like all your produce out there tends to be on the BIG side…wow!!
Glad you guys had a good Halloween!
That field trip looks awesome! Next time you “just want to look at animals,” I’ll go with you. I love zoos!
The kitty is very cute.
Oh, and I got the book. Thanks so much!
What a great costume!!!
Too creative.
There was a party? Did I miss it completely?
OOooooo what a pretty kitty!!!!! I am in awe that you guys finally got one! Maybe there is a dog in our future!!!!!!! I keep hoping one will just follow us home.
Amazing costume. Kitty is cute. I showed Dan a picture of James pipetting. It was the pipette he uses at work, apparently costs $200. I suggested he bring one home while you visit. At first he balked, something about expensive toys for kids (man who taught Mia to use an ipod…) Now he’s offered to help James isolate his DNA and wonders if James might be able to succeed at tasks his GAs have failed at… I think it’s time for another persuasive letter….
How exciting, a new kitten; they are so much fun and he is so cute. Funny how kids have their interests built in. My 15 year old keeps saying we have to go to the zoo, as tiny as ours is, because she just loves animals.
