You might have thought
we have been very sick since my last post, but that’s not the case. Just very busy, as usual
.
My sister and niece came to visit, I had people over for history, James had soccer; just our normal busy-ness (well, except for the visit). He loved having his aunt and cousin visit.  He became quite the brat at having them leave and, amazingly, he even played with his Mia (amazingly considering the age difference, not that she isn’t sweet and adorable and worthy of playing with).
How much time we get together, it isn’t enough.
After they left, we had a dog wander into our lives. Luckily, this morning, in the time it took me to compose this, which, you might think isn’t long, but with the myriad of distractions, is hours, it has wandered out, and safely back to it’s own home. It was a delightful dog, and one too many! Last night James went to bed announcing how he “want to keep the strange dog,” and we had to explain how her family was probably looking for her (please) and maybe she had a boy who loved her and wanted her to come home. Unfortunately, we live in an are where people think they can drop their dogs and they can live in the wild (coyotes anyone?). Fortunately, this wasn’t the case this time and a car drove by this slowly morning, saw me taking pictures of her for our found dog sign (because that  always works), and a woman yelled, “Oh that’s my dog!” Hooray on all sides!

Glad yall had a wonderful visit! I hear ya on busy! I’m glad for your sake that the owner found its dog!
We get a lot of stay cats! (Rolling my eyes!)
Did you get my letter?
The pictures are great! Seeing you was wonderful but hard–lots of reminders about what we are missing out on by moving so far away. James made me feel very loved, even if in an occasionally inappropriate almost six year old kind of way.
awww look at those two cuties!!!!! what a wonderful cousin!
awww I want a dog to wander into my life! umm in a year or so when I have a house ….
I am glad you found the dog’s home. Love the pictures!
I hear you about being busy. Nice James liked to play with his cousin. Glad you found the owner, or rather she found her dog. I hear you about the drop offs, makes me sick.
