You know your kid might be sick . . .
if he takes a nap, then sleeps for 12 hours, even if your husband says, “Oh, he was just overtired.”
if he spends an entire day on the couch, covered by a towel, even if he does school without complaining, perks up when your husband gets home, and you husband gets home and your husband says, “He looks fine to me.”
if he throws up mucus after some light playing, even if when you call you husband to say you don’t think he should go to soccer practice and your husband says, “I think it’s just allergies, give him some cough medicine before you go.”
Because when you get to soccer practice, you son might have diarrhea, and the park might not have bathrooms, so your husband might have to rush him off, several times, to local establishments, and by the time he’s done with all the going and the rushing, practice will be over.Â
And it may be that by the time everyone has accepted his sick, he will wake up the next morning better. Â

awwww poor James
Glad he is feeling better!
We have the boogers here
Ugh. Sounds miserable. Poor kiddo. I hope he is all better now.
Poor guy! Hope he is on the mend soon..
Bless your heart. Yeah! Momma usually knows! Hope he feels beeter soon.
Good thing the husband had to rush him to the establishments. I get feeling off at times and I keep going and can’t figure out why I can’t keep up with myself and when I start feeling better, figure out that “Hey, I was sick” and bemoan the fact I didn’t milk it for all it’s worth, only thought I was being lazy.
