The Caterpillars are taking over
2008 April 4
Remember how I said the caterpillars needed to be fed the same plant that they came off of? Well, every time I get fresh leaves, I bring in more caterpillars, not the large ones, I am smart enough to shake those off, but tiny ones, perhaps eggs, because one day they aren’t there, and the next day they are, multiplying, in my butterfly house. I am not prepared to be a butterfly breeder. Or, horrors, the thought has crossed my mind, what if I am not harboring butterflies but the horrid moth? What if, after carefully raising these insects, James is witness to me screaming and crushing the life out of them before they can infest my yarn? What have I done?!

hahah won’t that be terrible!??!
J and I were talking about when we were kids, they used to take torches to kill the the caterpillars that were infesting trees … Just a thought, like if you need a solution. Hmm Holly and James with a torch … second thought, never mind scratch that!
Looks like you’re definitely becoming SOME SORT of breeder, willingly or otherwise.
I am not partial to moths. My mom freaked at the sight of them, they reminded her of bats (which were in our house when I was a baby). I picked up the distaste for them but control it better than my mom (probably the same, but I didn’t start out with the same fear level). I was okay with the moth in T’s room but warned him it better stay out of my hair…literally.
I think that is a cool school idea, but I’m like you on the moths!
