Do you see? His adult teeth coming in, his baby teeth still there?
We’re going to the dentist today. The news seems grim. Most likely, they will pull the baby teeth, maybe give it a couple more weeks. Apparently this is “more common than I would think.” The adult teeth pushing up may wedge the baby teeth in there, making it harder for them to get out. And is that another cavity I see on his molar?
Why? Why does he have to have teeth like this? I am already sick to my stomach, attempting not to cry, having to face him cheery and brave.

This happened to a couple of my kids. It looked a little funny, but the baby teeth just came out without any intervention. Hopefully Jaime’s will, too.
